Brrr...too cold for shopping..don't be silly!!!
Hi, me again! Brrrrr it's cold (and raining) in Kos this morning and I really didn't feel like going out.
Seems my owner had different ideas though as I spied her with an extreme look of concentration as she circled various items on her Christmas shopping list (again)!
How many days left??? The 'thing' is she doesn't just need me at Christmas...I can be used in Kos for another 11 months! When do I get a holiday?
Umbrella time as I got jolted around in her bag as she ran to the car.
No parking spaces...as we circled and circled around the town and ended up in Parking where she should have just parked in the first place!
First stop...Effe - which is on Ippocrates Street (which has handbags, shoes and boots). All so lovely that my owner could not decide ....she found plenty of ones that she would like for Christmas....(all of them), but found it hard to choose for someone else.
Finally deciding on this one! Red for Christmas! Of course with a 10% discount using me (her mykosclub card).
Having lost her sunglasses 'yet again' we splashed up the street, past the cinema to Vision Opticians to see Lina and to find out how much a new pair would cost her.
Lina would like to be part of mykosclub , so that's great...offering a 10% discount to mykosclub card holders!
You should see her Christmas tree, Lina made all the decorations herself. They are the nicest Christmas tree decorations I've ever seen, all in white, with feathers, roses and pearls.
Perhaps she should start selling those too!
Coffee time!
Back towards the car (ish), we stopped at Telia & Vafla. They have huge waffles here with so many dreamy toppings to choose from. However, it's Monday and my owner is 'starting her diet' again today (till tomorrow).
So a hot steaming coffee with a friend ONLY......and at Telia & Vafla offer a 5% discount.
They now have indoor seating too....perfect!
It's cosy, bright and cheerful on a winter's day.
My owner's children love it here and they have been to a children's birthday party held here to.
Another place to add to your list of places you can go in the Christmas holidays with the children to keep the occupied (and fed!)
That's all folks for today anyway!

Christmas gift ideas....
My owner seems to be running around like a headless chicken at the moment! What's that song? Christmas time is here...it's a happy time of the year....well, for her it's a very stressful time of the year!
Thank goodness she seems to be 'sort of' organised this year and not leaving everything till the last minute. It's hard for many people to be 'happy' in Greece at the moment....living in the crisis. For many, Christmas time will be very difficult and certainly there will not be so many presents under the Christmas Tree this year.
First though...coffee by the sea at Bella Vista! (10% off your bill with me).
Christmas is not all about presents though is it? But, I am going to take you shopping anyway! Even if it is just window shopping, or giving you ideas around the shops in Kos..and how you can save with your mykosclub card - like me!
Who would have thought it that my owner found the perfect present for 5 euro (even less when she uses me), at Kosta Boda.
What an amazing shop. It is a shop that my owner has avoided for years, because she usually had a child in tow...and was scared they might break something....(actually, she is more clumsy than they are!)
Kosta Boda have some wonderful Christmas ideas. There are many decorative candles you can give as a present (4 in a pack even - which you could split up with some sweets or chocolates and give to friends or teachers maybe).
A selection of small glass Christmas plates that are then beautifully wrapped up in Kosta Boda paper (again these are always really handy around the house at Christmas...for all those biscuits with icing sugar on, and would make inexpensive Christmas gifts. Anyway, she was really oooohing and arrrhhhing (and careful) as she walked around this shop.
Kosta Boda offer a 10% discount with your mykosclub card...... happy days!
A friend has a Nikos that she wanted to buy a pressie for. Of course it is custom in Greece to buy name day presents for close family and friends. I wish I had a name day!
We popped into Kid Time on Ippocrates Street and chose a 'set'. It has a mykosclub sticker in the window (meaning I am welcome!). They offer a 10% discount too....every little helps!
One more stop at the toy shop Limnoupoli, where my owner always stops for a chat with the lovely man who has this toy shop. She asked what seems to be the best selling items for Christmas so far.
For girls....Barbie of course....(Pop Princesses) and for boys...playmobile (especially with the knights!)
With me here...you can also get 10% off these items!
So goodbye....most of the shops are shut on St Nicholas Day in Kos Town (so I will have a rest) and I have a feeling my owner will be pretty busy in the kitchen anyway....for her daughter's birthday on Friday.

Here I go again!!!
My owner was not in the best of moods today, having had to wait for what seemed like ages in the bank this morning. It was cold and wet in Kos and I was glad I was wrapped up in her over sized bag as she clicked through the streets on the way to meet her work Buddie for coffee.
After a few mouthfuls of caffeine and warmth, things started to get better. A new contract was also signed, sealed and delivered which now entitles 'us' (that includes you -if you have a mykosclub card) to visit this coffee shop and receive a 10% discount. Great news!
It is close to the telephone exchange O.T.E.
Out came the list again as we hit the shops!
Matou France was our first stop. Did you know it offers 25% discount? ....FANTASTIC!
My owner was practically jumping up and down when she found the 'perfect' dress and an adorable coat, saving over 20 euro on the original price (with me). Today a friend had asked her to find an outfit suitable for Christmas for her God-daughter for approx 50-60- euro...done!
So with a spring in her step... off we went in search of the next item on her list. Something light and easy to post for teenagers!
Gallerie de Beaute. (Konitsis Square).
With so many special offers on certain products at the moment and three floors to look around...as you can imagine, we were there for quite some time!
Finally.....phew! (she talks way too much), coming out with a make-up bag and an ultra lifting, double thickness or something like that mascara with a saving of almost 3 euro.
Time was ticking on as we popped next door to Triumph (also the owners of Evita). They informed us that they have many great offers on, as well as half price bras in the other shop! My owner didn't want a bra, but something to keep her Mum's feet warm and cosy (and again, something light to send in the post). Of course she also fell in love with some for herself too....she had 'that look' on her face, but only walked out with one shopping bag...and saved money of course, ONCE AGAIN (10% with her discount card).
Where did the time go? Another mad dash to the car, which she couldn't remember where she had parked it..... and then it was time for lunch.
With the money that my owner saved today - 25 EURO shopping with me (her mykosclub discount card) it will pay for her to go out for a Christmas get together with friends at LadoKola.
LadoKola is a place where she has been meaning to go to since it opened in the summer. A lovely traditional family run taverna with an open fire place for the winter and live music at the weekends. It also offers a discount as long as you have one of me!
I'm 'pooped'.!!!...I'm quite relieved that a few more items were ticked off the Christmas list today.
Goodnight ......
Tomorrow again!

Hi...this is me! Welcome to my diary...have a feeling I am going to be very busy over the next few weeks judging by the size of my owner's Christmas shopping list.
Today we were out and about in Kos Town, the sun was shining and my owner was soooo very happy as she saved almost 11 euro by using me. There are also a few more gifts now crossed off her list!
Look what she bought for her daughter...super modern boots from Mixahl Shoes (her daughter's going to love them) and she SAVED 3.5 euro - which more than paid for her coffee and doughnut at Go Donuts where she
also got a 10% discount...every little helps! Hang on, I thought she was on a diet?
Next stop was Ekfrasi where she spent ages trying to decide on which colour Parker Pen Set to buy her boss (he is always losing his pen's). Finally, half an hour later she chose this set...and out I popped again making a SAVING of 6 euro! Ekfrasi is a Book Shop and Stationary Shop selling all sorts of great gifts they are situated in Konitsis Square and offer -15%.
Last stop (I hoped) for today was at The Slipper Shop (also in Konitsis Square) where she bought slippers for her Nephew and SAVED 1 euro, but also found cute slippers and a bag that were perfect for one of her daughters who loves Hello Kitty that were reduced from 25 euro to only 10...BARGAIN!!!
Shopping was (quite) fun...one more stop to work off that doughnut
The Fitness Village (which also offer -15%) and have some great other offers on too! I think I've certainly done my work-out for the day! I'm exhausted!
See you tomorrow.
